Season Champions are crowned in August but the Big Specials roll out in September at Chateau Speedway in Lansing. The 63rd Anniversary Season has plenty of excitement planned for this falls racing action. It all starts on Sunday Night September 1st with the Labor Day Duel. Extra Money has been added to the purses for all classes with the “A” Mods gunning for the top prize of $1000 to win. The 2 “B” Mod Classes will each have a $400 payout waiting for them, while Street Stocks will seek the top prize of $250. Hornets and Pure Stocks will each be gunning for a $100 top prize. The Action Sunday Night will get under way at 6:00pm.
Than it’s the 2nd Annual Chateau Speedway Autumn Extravaganza on September 27th and 28th. Two complete shows with Friday Night’s action starting at 7:15pm and Saturday Nights action at 6:00pm. Drivers will be competing for two full purses each night. A third purse will be paid out to the Top 10 in each class based on points accumulated over the two nights. The Extravaganza will again feature seven classes of action this year with the KEVKO Outlaw Mini Mods joining the class’s regular 6 classes. There will also be a Corn Hole Tournament again this year.
