The 2019 Chateau Speedway End of Season Racing Banquet is just around the corner. It’s set for Saturday Night December 7th at Lansing Corners Supper Club. Something special this year, the night will be a “Toys for Tots” Collection night. As it will be just a few weeks before Christmas, everyone is encouraged to bring something for the Collection effort. Even if you’re not planning on attending the banquet all Chateau Speedway Race Drivers and Fans are invited to stop by and drop something off during the night. Banquet Tickets are still available by contacting Mark or Annette Wytaske. Track contact information can be found on either The Tracks Webpage ChateauSpeedway.com or on their Facebook Page. Email address is chateauspeedway@gmail.com.
The location of the banquet is actually a change in location from what had been announced during the year. The Dinner and Awards Festivities was originally schedule for the Austin Eagles Club but ended up needing to be changed so this year’s Awards Night will be held instead just down the road from The Track at Lansing Corners. Lansing Corners is right on Highway 218 North of Austin at the Lansing turnoff. The Banquet will be in the main floor Banquet Room and guests can enter directly into the hall through the door on the north side of the building. There will be no entrance though their main dining room.
The Menu will be Burgers and all the Fixings as well as Fries. The night’s activities will kick off with a Happy Hour at 5:00pm featuring complimentary first keg courtesy of Meadow Greens Golf Course of Austin as well as Fruit and Veggies with Dip. Meal will be at 6:00 followed by the Awards Presentations at approx. 7:30. There will also be music provided during happy hour as well as after the Awards for those who choose to visit a little later into the evening.
Top 5 drivers in the 6 Full Time 2019 Classes will be receiving Trophies. Those classes would be the “Y Waste WISSOTA Hornets”, “Power 96 WISSOTA Pure Stocks”, “Adams Graphix WISSOTA Street Stocks”, “WISSOTA Midwest Modified”, “Action Builders USRA B Mods”, and “French’s Repair USRA A Mods”. The Part Time Class "KEVKO Outlaw Mini Mods" which runs about every other week will have the Top 3 in Their Class Recognized with Trophies. Fans were also given a chance to vote for a Favorite Driver the last weekend of the season as well and that award will be given at the end of the night.
