Kids Events Fill 2020 Schedule for Chateau Speedway

Chateau Speedway is looking out for their younger fans by the looks of the 2020 Racing Schedule with plenty of events for the kids. Opening Night is scheduled for Friday Night May 1st, which is May Day. The first 100 kids thru the gate will receive May Baskets. Also in May, on the 22nd there will be free popcorn for every youngster thru the gate. The popular Kids Rides and Bike Giveaway will be set for the first weekend of June, June 5th. Than June 12th, which will feature a Veterans Salute for Veterans Day Weekend will also bring Free Freeze Pops for Each Kid thru the gate. Race Night on the Fourth of July Weekend falls on the 3rd and there will be A Free Root Beer Float for each of the kids. Mid Season Championship is July 10th and that brings a second night of Car Rides for the Kids. The “Soak the Flagman” Water Balloon Night for the kids is scheduled for Friday Night July 24th. Last year the kids loved bombing the flag man with water balloons. The Track is planning on bringing back the “Box Car” Races for the kids on August 21st. An event which was around in the 90’s is where the kids make there “Car” out of a box, which they hold around them and run a race with two pit stops. With the help of a pit person they will make one stop to change a tire (a shoe), and one for a drink. The three lap races will be divided by age groups. The Back to School Backpack giveaway will be back again this year on August 28th as well. Then there will be all the fun and games with the Hayrides and More at the 3rd Annual Chateau Speedway Autumn Extravaganza Oct 2nd and 3rd.

Adults will have their chances at some nice promotions as well. Week two of the season, May 8th is Mothers Day Weekend and the first 100 Mothers thru the gate will receive a special gift. There’s a free cup of coffee for each Adults on Night 3, May 15th. A Month of Trivia in June will lead up to a Big Screen TV Giveaway Fourth of July Weekend. Each week in June Adults will have a chance to answer a different Trivia Question. Each weeks winners will go into a drawing for the TV, which of course will be “must be present to win” on July 3rd. There will also be an I-Pad Given away during the season. . Plenty more giveaways will be announced week to week during the season as many of the Tracks fine sponsors bring out prizes and giveaways including “The Dirt Show” who will be on hand on June 19th.

Plenty of other excitement is on the schedule as well with the “Spirit of 83” Memorial Race on Memorial Day Weekend, Sunday Night May 24th with the $2500 to win “Mike Guttormson Memorial Feature Event”. The “2nd Annual Chateau Speedway Hall of Fame” Night will be June 26th with 6 new members being added to the Hall. The Track will host the Non-Wing Traditional Sprints twice in 2020. First Night will be July 17th and the second night August 7th. The Night in August will Feature the yearly Fireworks Show. Chateau Speedway will travel up to Kasson to help with the Dodge County Fair Thunderbird Open on July 16th. The Traveling USMTS Series will invade Lansing on Labor Day weekend September 4th. The Track will host the SMP Season Championship Enduro on September 12th. The Extravaganza as mentioned will be Oct 2nd and 3rd this year. Normally the last weekend of September it got pushed back a week because of the late Labor Day and the crunch of fall specials. There will be a Test and Tune Session to open the season on Wednesday April 29th.
