2021 Season Schedule Coming Together for Chateau Speedway

                 Planning for the 65th Anniversary Season of Racing at Chateau Speedway in Lansing has been ongoing since the Season ended and is starting to come together.  All of the specials that fans have enjoyed the last several years are back on the schedule as well as several exciting new Specials which have been put in for 2021.

                Back of course is the Signature “Spirit of 83 Memorial” on Friday  May 28th with the running of the 23rd Mike Guttormson Memorial “A Mod” Feature Event.  The Track will also host the “3rd Annual Chateau Speedway Autumn Extravaganza the first weekend of October.  The two night special will run Friday Night October 1st and Saturday Night October 2nd.  The Two Night Special gives drivers a chance to run for a Third Payout for the Top 10 drivers in each class for the weekend.

                Another two day special has been added in June, Friday June 25th and Saturday June 26th for the First Annual WISSOTA Midwest Modified vs. USRA B Mod Challenge Event.  After running complete shows on each night with heats and features for regular Track and National Points The two classes will share a Bonus Feature on Saturday Night with the top 8 cars from each sanctioning body over the two nights based on points gunning for bragging rights.  Those top 16 cars could be joined by as many as 4 provisional spots with the Top National Points and Top Track Points Drivers Guaranteed a spot in the big Challenge Event.  Drivers must compete both nights to be able to earn a spot in the Challenge Feature the only event of the weekend which will not be a points race.

                The UMSS Traditional Non-Wing Sprint cars are on the schedule 3 times in 2021, June 18th, July 16th and August 13th.  The August show will also feature the gigantic fireworks display for the season.  The Track will once again help with the Dodge County Fair in Kasson on Thursday Night July 15th.  The Fair event will feature the UMSS Traditional Non-Wing Sprint cars as well setting up back to back nights for them in the area as the will also be at Lansing on that Friday Night as well.  Also on the Card for the Dodge County Fair will be the Outlaw Mini Mods as well as the USRA A and B Mods and the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds.  The Outlaw Mini Mods are also scheduled to make four more appearances at Chateau. The 2 night WISSOTA Midwest Mod vs. USRA B Mod Challenge Event Nights in June and the 2 night Autumn Extravaganza in October.

                There will also be a Special National Points Night for Drivers on September 10th, the week following Season Championship Night.

                SMP Promotions will run 3 Enduro’s at Lansing in 2021.  A Spring Frost Buster on Saturday May 1st at Noon, than after competing through the area for the summer they will run their Season Championship Enduro on Saturday September 18th, and the 2nd Annual Terry Eischens Memorial Enduro on Saturday October 9th.

                The Tracks Season Opener is Scheduled for Friday Night May 7th with the Tracks regular 7 classes taking to the dirt.  Running again this season will be WISSOTA Classes – Hornets, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, Super Stocks and Midwest Modifieds, as well as the USRA Classes – A and B Mods, making for a Summer full of exciting dirt track racing.  25 Nights of Racing are on the Schedule for The Track which has thrilled fans on the banks of the Cedar River since 1956. Plus the Trip to the Dodge County Fair and the Test and Tune night will keep Track Workers plenty busy for the summer.

                Grandstand Admission for adults this year for Regular Race Nights will be $10, Juniors will once again be $5 with kids under 5 free.    Pit passes will once again be $25 on Regular Race Nights. Unfortunately no schedule is ever set in stone as changes come along so the Track Website and Facebook pages are a good place to check every week for the latest updates and changes.
