Chateau Speedway Hands out 2021 Season Championship Awards

                The 2021 Season was officially completed for Chateau Speedway Saturday Night with the handing out of the Trophy’s for the top 5 drivers in each of The Tracks 6 regular classes. 

                Leading the way with his Sixth Track Championship in the French’s Repair USRA A Mod Class was Jason Cummins of New Richland.  Jason racked up six feature wins on the year on his way to the Championship.  Finishing second in the class was Matt Stark of Austin followed by Doug Hillson of Blooming Prairie, Ryan Wetzstein of West Concord, and Kylie Kath of Claremont.

                Kory Adams of Stacyville Iowa became a five time Track Champion in Adams Graphix WISSOTA Street Stock action.  Zach Elward of Hayfield was second in points ahead of Jason Newkirk of Austin, Cody Hyatt of Waseca and Kevin Vogt of Rose Creek.

                Kadden Kath of Ellendale picked up his 4th Track Championship as he scored his first Action Builders WISSOTA Midwest Modified Title.  His other three titles came in USRA B Mod action.  Second in points was Ryan Goergen of Stacyville Iowa who was followed by Greg Pfeifer Junior of Austin, Jeremy Misgen of New Richland and Luke Hainka of Wannamingo.

                In  the final USRA B Mod Point Standings it was Noah Grinstead of Austin sitting on top of the list for the third year in a row.  Zach Elward of Hayfield scored in second in points in the class to go along with his second place finish in Street Stocks.  Cole Lonergan of Dexter was third ahead of Hunter Kennedy of St Ansgar Ioiwa and Caleb Korpi of Claremont.

                Andrew Eischens of Taopi scored his second straight Championship in the Power 96 WISSOTA Pure Stock Class.  Michael Wick of Faribault was second ahead of Kyndra Guttormson of Chatfield,  Bobby Crews of Austin and Jack Maas of Faribault.

                Zach Korpi of Claremont scored his first Track Title in his second season of racing as he took top honors in the WISSOTA Skjeveland Sanitation Hornets.  Brian Schott of Red Wing, Timothy Barnett of Owatonna, Shawn Poston of Red Wing and Dan Bjonfald of Bloomington made up the rest of the top five.

                The Track handed out a Most Improved Driver Award as well for the season and it was awarded to Kobie Kath of Owatonna who ran in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified Class.

                The 2022 Season Opener was announced as Friday Night May 6th as the tradition of opening the first Friday of May will continue.  A Test and Tune Session will be held the Wednesday before the Opener.
