Chateau Speedway Making A Change in Class Lineup for 2022

January 5, 2022

One of the most difficult decisions a Track Promoter can make is deciding what classes to run each season.  Adding a New Class invariably means cutting another one.  And while it can be difficult for some drivers it creates opportunities as well.

Mark Wytaske, Owner-Promoter, of Chateau Speedway has been watching the dwindling numbers in the WISSOTA Street Stock Class the past few years.  Several nights The Track has run just one heat in the class because of low numbers.  With just a handful of regulars The Track has relied on Travelers and Part-Time Drivers to try to keep the class afloat.

With that in mind Chateau Speedway will not be running the Street Stocks in 2022.  Meanwhile the rising popularity of the USRA Stock Car Class has caught the attention of many in the area and with another local track also adding the Class in 2022 Mark has made the decision to add that Class to the upcoming season schedule.

The Line-up for 2022 will once again feature 6 classes: USRA A Mod, USRA B Mod, USRA Stock Car, WISSOTA Midwest Modified, Chateau Pure Stocks, and Chateau Hornets.  The Season will open with a Test and Tune on Tuesday May 3rd before the Season Gets underway that weekend.
